TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 (26 March)
TOKYO
Upon arrival at Tokyo at airport, you will be met and greeted by our guide who will assist and direct you for your choice of your transfer to the hotel. Airport transfer is not included in the tour coast. Please let us know your choice of transportation in advance.
Check in for 3 nights at the hotel in Tokyo. You have the rest of the day at leisure to recharge or go out into the city for your first taste of the city that never sleeps.

DAY 2 (27 March)
TOKYO
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Tokyo including Asakusa temple and a stroll down the colourful Nakamise shopping arcade. Afternoon visit Meiji shrine and the Harajuku district where old and new cultures collide.

DAY 3 (28 March)
TOKYO – MT. FUJI HAKONE – TOKYO
Take a day trip to Hakone to see the majestic Mount Fuji. Enjoy a Mount Fuji/Hakone sightseeing tour, including a ride on the Hakone Ropeway and the beautiful Lake Ashi Cruise. You will have lunch at a local restaurant. Travelling along the Chuo Expressway, enjoy the scenery of rural Japan and a breathtaking view of sacred Mount Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan, rising to 3,776m above sea level.

DAY 4 (29 March)
TOKYO – KYOTO
Today you will leave for Kyoto by bullet train to arrive at midday. Stay in the heart of downtown Kyoto and enjoy a tour of Arashiyama and the Sagano region by local train. Stroll through the Tenryuji temple garden, then return to downtown Kyoto and visit Kyoto’s famous restaurant provedores’ arcade, Nishiki. You will stay at your Kyoto accommodation for 3 nights.

DAY 5 (30 March)
KYOTO – HIROSHIMA / MIYAJIMA – KYOTO
Today you will travel to Hiroshima by bullet train. The full day tour includes Hiroshima Peace Park, Peace Museum and Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome where you can witness Hiroshima’s poignant history. You will then visit Miyajima Island, where you will see the iconic Itsukushima Shrine and its famous floating Torii gate.

DAY 6 (31 March)
KYOTO
This morning you will visit Nijo Castle and Kinkakuji, the famous Golden Pavilion. In the afternoon, you will visit Kiyomizu temple, perched on a cliff-side and overlooking the city. Part of the fun of visiting Kiyomizu temple is the approach to the temple along the steep and busy lanes of the enchanting Higashiyama district. You will then return to the hotel, and in the evening you may wish to stroll through the Gion geisha district before you leave Kyoto.

DAY 7 (1 April)
KYOTO – KANAZAWA
In the morning, we leave for the Samurai town, Kanazawa, by express train. You will spend 2 nights in Kanazawa. Today, enjoy a Kanazawa afternoon sightseeing tour, visiting Kenrokuen, Higashi-Chayagai and Nagamachi the former samurai residential area.

DAY 8 (2 April)
KANAZAWA – TAKAYAMA – SHIRAKAWAGO – KANAZAWA
Travel back in time to the historic town of Takayama by chartered coach and enjoy a walking tour, visiting Takayama’s famous morning market and the old streets of Sannomachi. Travel on to Shirakawago, the quaint village in the mountains now listed as a world heritage site. Before returning to Kanazawa, you will get to try your hand at rice-paper making in Gokayama. You will then return to Kanazawa in the late afternoon.

DAY 9 (3 April)
KANAZAWA – WAKURA
You will visit the Kenrokuen Garden and the Higashi Chaya District. You then leave for Wakura Onsen Noto peninsula, north of Kanazawa. We will visit the colourful Kiriko Museum which houses ornate floats which carry huge lanterns in local festivals. Such floats are characteristic of local festivals across Japan but those in the Noto peninsula are especially colourful and reflect a thousand year tradition in these ornate lanterns. 1 night’s accommodation at a traditional Japanese ryokan in Wakura village. Japanese traditional dinner is served at the ryokan. Farewell dinner with your fellow tour mates.

DAY 10 (4 April)
WAKURA – TOKYO
We will experience the famous Wajima Morning Market notable for its traditional lacquer ware before returning back to the hustle and bustle of Tokyo by bullet train. The lacquer is derived from the sap of the Urushi tree and the traditional intricate lacquer process is perhaps the Eastern equivalent of French Polishing. 1 night accommodation in Tokyo.

DAY 11 (5 April)
TOKYO
Check out from your hotel and enjoy your last day in Japan with some last-minute sightseeing or souvenir hunting.
